Best of Brighton & Sussex Cottages was set up  in l992, by Richard T S Harris, who has lived in the area all his life and therefore has extensive local knowledge.  Our office is located in the charming seaside village of Rottingdean, 3 miles east of Brighton. We specialise in high standard fully furnished properties for holiday lets and conference or business  accommodation for periods ranging from 3 days to 3 months.  We can also offer longer term residential lets. We are a Quality Accredited Agency, a member of Tourism South East and  a VisitBrighton Partner.

Our portfolio includes seafront and city centre properties in Brighton & Hove, unusual properties in the Sussex countryside, both inland and along the coast between Eastbourne and Chichester. We have small studio flats, attractive apartments (many with a seaview), cottages and houses, so can accommodate between 1 and 14 people in a variety of properties.  Wherever you stay with us, you will find a home away from home, fully equipped to a  high standard.

Every property has been visited by Richard and our housekeepers ensure that very good standards are maintained.   We run our own property assessment and grading scheme -  our "Key/Quality" scheme. This is carried out by an independent Assessor.  The number of Keys (One Key to Five Keys)  represents the facilities in the property, whilst the Quality  is reflected by one of five quality levels:  Standard,  Standard Plus,  Commended, Commended Plus,  Highly Commended,  or De-Luxe.

In our Reservations Office you can consult any of our staff:   Heather(Office Manager),  Suzanne(Sales Manager), Hilary (Admin Assistant)  or Jane (Part-time Assistant),  who can all  help with any enquiries and bookings. Heather is fluent in French, Spanish and Portuguese and Suzanne also speaks French.

Clients can be confident of a professional approach to the booking procedure and that they will be accommodated in properties of a high standard. In most cases they will be met personally at the property and shown around it so that they know how everything works before being left to enjoy their holiday.

We have clients who  return to us year after year, from all over the world. They come from all walks of life and for a variety of reasons, but each one of them knows that through us they can find a comfortable and high standard home, and will receive personal attention throughout the reservation procedure.
