"I have lived in Brighton and Hove for nearly 20 years and can’t imagine living anywhere else"
I have lived in Brighton and Hove for nearly 20 years and can’t imagine living anywhere else. I live very close to the beach and love the fact that when it’s a sunny day, my family and I can pack up a picnic and be on the beach within 10 minutes! One of my favourite activities is walking and I really enjoy the walk into Brighton along the long promenade and then enjoying a coffee (and cake!) in one of the many cafes Brighton has to offer. I feel very lucky to work in an industry that I love; I recruit all the properties for Best of Brighton and really enjoy viewing them, meeting new homeowners and advising and guiding them through the holiday let process.

"Whilst travelling to different parts of the world is my greatest passion, returning to my hometown Brighton always puts a smile on my face!"
Whilst travelling to different parts of the world is my greatest passion, returning to my hometown Brighton always puts a smile on my face. What can I say ... I am a born and bred Brightonian and proud to say it! I love living so close to the sea and running along the undercliff from Rottingdean towards Brighton is a great way to unwind after a busy day at work. The wide range of restaurants, as well as the many attractions, in Brighton makes it a great place to visit and if you are a fan of Japanese food then you must go to Pompoko in the North Laines. I have worked for Best of Brighton for five years and my role has evolved from part-time reservations assistant to marketing co-ordinator. I love how varied my job is and every day brings something different!
"I’ve fallen in love with the vibrant city as there’s always something going on to keep me occupied!"
Before starting my studies at Sussex University, I visited Brighton on many occasions during the holidays with my friends and family – so I definitely understand the appeal! Coming from a seaside town myself, I easily felt at home here. Although, I now feel like nothing quite compares to Brighton. I’ve fallen in love with the vibrant city as there’s always something going on to keep me occupied! The coffee and food scene in the North Laine’s are just my cup of tea, there’s always a new place to try!! I’ve already loved exploring all the best dog walking spots in the south downs when my parents bring my cockapoo, Max, down to visit. However, my favourite part would definitely have to be testing all the Sunday Roast diners in the area!! Seven Stars, Brighton is a personal favourite so far…

"We have lived here now for 4 years and don’t regret a single day!"
Having made the decision to be closer to friends and family in Brighton, we have lived here now for 4 years and don’t regret a single day! Growing up with many trips to Brighton and the south coast and now with a family of my own, it is a special place that offers a great deal. I especially love the fact as a city it still has a villagey and friendly feel; where you can step outside your home and recognise many faces but still have the opportunity to be able to travel only a short distance to the countryside and the sea! The music scene is fantastic in Brighton with many interesting and eclectic events throughout the year. There’s always something going on to keep you interested!
"I feel truly blessed to have been brought up in the amazing city of Brighton!"
I feel truly blessed to have been brought up in the amazing city of Brighton! Now being able to raise my own family here is such a joy. With the never-ending list of attractions and shows visiting the city we are in undated with things to do. My children adore a day on the pier and at the beach, however on rainy days our favourite place to visit is Duke of York’s picture house, being the oldest cinema to be in continuous use in Britain it doesn’t only show great films but has an amazing history to go with it. A day in Brighton is a truly unique experience!
"I love cities. Not only is Brighton a city, it’s a city by the sea!"
I love cities. Not only is Brighton a city, it’s a city by the sea! I relocated here in 2008 after spending six years in the South of France with 2 children, my husband and our Jack Russell terrier. We have all enjoyed an amazing time here, we have everything on our doorstep including the beach in one direction and the beautiful South Downs in the other. For me, the independent boutiques, cafes and restaurants as well as dog friendly parks and squares make me very happy.
My background, working for a property developer in France has given me a passion for architecture and interiors and I enjoy viewing and writing about the properties in my new role as a recruiter for Best of Brighton. I love to travel too, but its always great to come home.
