With only 5 weeks to go until Christmas (eek!) Brighton is beginning to get in the festive spirit! Throw on your warmest clothes and go to some of these wintery events...

Brilliant Brighton Christmas Lights Switch On

Head down to East Street from 5pm on Thursday 19th of November to count down to the Brilliant Brighton Christmas Lights Switch On! Sure to get your festive side jingling this display is the largest festive lighting display on the South Coast - provided for by over 500 businesses in the heart of the city.

This free event will be supported by JuiceFM for the fourth year running and in partnership with the local Brighton Charity Rockinghorse. There will be a stage with some brilliant musical acts to keep you entertained. There will also be a raffle!

This family friendly event will certainly get you all in the christmas spirit!

Christmas markets at The Open Market!

If you are stuck for ideas of what to buy your loved ones this Christmas then head to The Open Market for some inspiration! Throughout November and December The Open Market will play host to a number of exciting creative fairs enabling local artists, makers, and craftspeople to sell their creations! Here is a list of some of our favourite events!

Etsy Christmas Fair

Sunday 6th December 10am - 5pm

40 sellers from the unique global online marketplace - Etsy.com - will be showcasing and selling their creative gifts at the first of the Christmas markets. With a range of beautifully designed items from greetings cards to unique pieces of jewellery you will definitely find something to WOW this Christmas!

The Fairy Tale Fair Saturday

12th December 10am - 5pm

Fun for all the family, this much loved Fairy Tale Fair will get all ages in the Christmas mood. Get creative and pick up some festive treats!

Christmas Decorations Workshop!

Saturday 12th December 11am - 4pm

With the help of the skilled craftspeople of Sew Fabulous you will be able to create your own unique and special christmas decorations to decorate your home or give to your loved ones this Christmas! Not only will your handmade present show that you care, you will have lots of fun in the process!
