Ellie's Bohemian Adventure

Published: Monday 5th Aug 2019

After finishing my final exams for the year in June and my University accommodation coming to an end, my plan was to head back home to Suffolk for the Summer.

However, my time in Brighton was not quite over! When my work (Best of Brighton) offered to put me up in one of their properties for two weeks in exchange for working while my colleague was on annual leave, I jumped at the chance.

I was lucky enough to stay at Bohemia Cottage a two-bedroom house in the VERY centre of Brighton!

The location of this property is next to none, it’s around a five minutes’ walk to work (North Laines), a ten minutes’ walk to the beach and fifteen minutes to Churchill Square (shopping centre).

I moved in at the weekend, so it only seemed sensible on a Sunday morning to try the local coffee spots.  My personal favourite place was Black Mocha, it’s only a two-minute stroll away, I often brought a takeaway and enjoyed sitting in the kitchen overlooking the pretty petite outdoor space to the side of the house.

The property is super quirky, I loved exploring and finding all the personal touches the homeowners had made to make a guest stay extra special.

For example, check out the map on Brighton! They pinpointed the properties location and highlighted their favourite things to do in the area.

My bedroom was ultra-spacious as the double bunk bed provided extra floor space! You could really tell every room was designed to optimise comfort and ease without compromising style.

The property had a lovely homely and cosy feel, the lounge was great for unwinding after a full-on day at work and had all you needed to keep you entertained, such as, Netflix and Amazon Prime!

I would thoroughly recommend Bohemia Cottage for anybody looking for a central base in Brighton. If you need an extra bedroom or parking, why not check out Bohemia it’s the same property, however, the basement is unlocked!
