On the Sea

Relax on Brighton’s famous pebble beach and soak up the seaside holiday feeling, take a dip in the sea or stroll along the coastline. Tired of dry land? Well there are a variety of brilliant activities you can try your hand at, whether you’re looking for an adrenaline hit or to take it at your own pace. Lagoon Watersports based in both Hove Lagoon and Brighton Marina offer an amazing variety of boating and sporting activities on the water, from an action packed Thunder Cat ride which will have holding on for dear life or a more relaxed sail.

Brighton Watersports offers kayak hire, along with the other main watersport activities like stand up paddle boarding and wakeboarding. We can tell you it’s a great way to spend the day and you’ll be able to get a whole different view of Brighton from the sea.

Explore the City and Surrounding Area

Discovering Brighton on foot is a superb way to find the city’s hidden gems. Whether it’s a tasty café, famous graffiti or a small art gallery, there always something around the corner. A brilliant but unusual tour has to the ‘Oh I Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside’, where you will be shown around the various famous graffiti pieces that have popped up. It usually runs on a Saturday/Sunday and starts at the mainline train station, but be sure to check tour dates before you get there.

There are a wide variety of parks dotted around the city where you will be able to sit back and enjoy the greenery. Along with that there are some absolutely stunning areas of outstanding natural beauty just outside of Brighton, including Devils Dyke on the South Downs. So whether you’re in Brighton itself or nearer to the countryside there’s always a refreshing green space nearby to relax in.

Enjoy Brighton by bicycle and don’t worry if you can’t bring your bike with you, at Amsterdammers’ you can hire a bike for anything from a couple or hours to a couple of days.
