Description
Providence Cottage is located in the heart of the Medieval town of Rye, right by the Landgate, with its castle and fascinating and charming houses. Once upon a time Rye was actually on the coast but it now stands back by a few miles. It still has a fishing fleet bringing fish in by the river. The cottage dates from the 1300's and is charming and full of character and makes a comfortable base for touring East Sussex and all its many places of interest to visit. http://www.visit1066country.com/explore-1066-country/rye-attractions. Views of the estuary, marshes and immaculate parks and Bowling Green are from the opposite side of the street. Shop: 500 yards Pub: 100 yards Coast: 3 miles
