This beautifully presented house sits aloft, with far reaching views across the rooftops of Rye.  Each room at Romney Point has been individually styled and furnished with great taste and offers the perfect holiday home for families and friends to share.  There are three double bedrooms all with their own bathrooms, and the master bedroom on the first floor has the most wonderful views. The ground floor living area is spacious with a separate sitting room, dining room and kitchen and there is also a great area on the landing for quiet reading and relaxing.  The sitting room is decorated in soothing tones and has 3 sofas with corner seating, an open working fireplace and French doors leading to a courtyard. The dining room has a large table seating eight and a decorative fireplace making this room perfect for a celebration. The kitchen is very well appointed and includes a well-stocked larder, full of all your essentials to get you started. Outside there are three areas to sit in the garden.  At the far end, through the wisteria clad pergola you can enjoy the viewing area with spectacular far reaching views across the river Rother to the marshes and on to the sand dunes at Camber with the sea in the distance. There is also a small herb garden which guests are welcome to use.  Rye is walkable and there is even a gastropub en route with an enviable selection of Gin that will tempt you in! Romney Point welcomes babes in arms and children over 8 years. Shop: 0.9 miles  Pub: 0.3 miles  Beach: 4.4 miles

Out and About:

Rye is full of character with its cobbled streets and antiques shops.  There is a train station in Rye so no need to bring the car if you're coming for a short break.  Start your adventure on Mermaid Street and work your way up to the very beautiful Church Square.  There are many restaurants, wine bars, gastropubs and individual shops and a Kino cinema.  A little further afield you will find the small town of Winchelsea and Winchelsea Beach.  Further along, at Pett Level, there is a submerged petrified forest which is exposed at low tide.  There are glorious walks to be had at Camber Sands and along the Military Canal and beautiful gardens to visit at Great Dixter and Sissinghurst. Water skiing and windsurfing facilities can be found at Rye Water Sports and Camber attracts a lot of kite surfers. There are castles at Camber and Bodiam and there is a nature reserve at Rye Harbour for bird watchers and nature lovers and a new Discovery Centre. There is a large Jempsons supermarket in Rye along with lots speciality shops.  Don't forget the Rye Bay Scallop Week in February and the Rye International Jazz & Blues Festival which organises events throughout the year and also the Sussex Bonfire Society and Rye Christmas Festival which are annual events.
