Description

This beautifully furnished apartment boasts a central location in Rye with the cafes, shops and restaurants a stone's throw away. It sleeps 2 guests and offers a fantastic bolthole to get away and recharge the batteries.  The living area is open plan with a comfy sofa and electric effect fire to relax in front of.  There is a lovely feature Juliette balcony with views across the rooftops and a compact yet well equipped galley kitchen to whip up a lovely breakfast or dinner.  Staying in Rye offers guests the chance to travel by train as the apartment is within walking distance to the station.  You can catch the train to Hastings or the bus to Camber without any car parking worries.  If you do bring your car, then there is so much to explore with rural villages, castles and gardens and local vineyards, which offer tours and tastings. It is also a great location for walkers with miles of walking trails in and around Rye and at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve.  Shop: within walking  Pub: within walking  Coast: 4.3 miles

Out and About:

Situated in the historic town of Rye which boasts independent shops, cafes and restaurants and a Kino cinema. Rye is full of character and charm with its cobbled streets and ancient buildings.  Why not climb the church tower for spectacular views across the rooftops and surrounding countryside. The Rye Nature Reserve, which is on your doorstep, is perfect for walking and bird watching as over 90 species of birds nest here with 5 bird hides available.  There are reed beds, a salt marsh and saline lagoons, protected rare plants and shingle flowers, grazing sheep and wonderful trails all waiting to be discovered.  The seven miles of golen sand at Camber are close by and are also within a short drive to the interesting towns of Hastings and Battle, where you can explore an ancient castle, walk for miles in a country park and soak up the atmosphere at the impressive Abbey ruins. There are many National Trust properties near by and also the famous gardens and historic house at Great Dixter.
