Nearby is the beautiful historic medieval town of Rye with a wealth of independent craft and antique shops, cafes, restaurants and bars and a Kino Cinema. There are castles at Camber and Bodiam to explore and Winchelsea Beach is only a short stroll from the property which has a submerged petrified forest which is exposed at low tide - perfect for beach combing and fossil hunting. There is a nature reserve at Rye Harbour for bird watchers and nature lovers.
