An enchanting cottage reached via winding lanes through woodland and rolling pastures. The Bryer has a magnificent oak beamed vaulted ceiling and is set in beautiful vineyard countryside. A peaceful and quiet location yet only a short drive to Rye with its cobbled streets and specialist shops. The golden sandy beaches at Camber are just a little further away. The Bryer can be booked in conjunction with its sister property, Owl House RH1151, to sleep a total of up to 6 people, making this a great place to share with family and friends.

Facilities and standards very good / excellent. Owners friendly and helpful.Mr Alan Williams - 26th August 2018
The property is amazing and so are the views, the owners Neil and Wendy are the nicest of people really welcoming and friendly, the cottage has everything to make your stay as perfect as can be, the welcome goodies in the fridge were really kind and thoughtful, the décor is really homely and tasteful and the wetroom is one of the nicest and largest we have seen on our hols, we had the loveliest of times and would love to return.Mrs R Temple - 10th July 2018
The Bryer is a very comfortable cottage - the living space and wet room are very generously proportioned, and the sofa and armchairs are genuinely comfy to curl up on. The kitchen was well equipped (dishwasher, toaster, oven & hob, microwave, washing machine) and had plenty of pots and pans. But the best thing about it is the beautiful view across the fields and down to the river. There are chairs just outside the back door and another bench just a short walk away, which was the most lovely place to sit quietly admiring the landscape. A really relaxing and quite place to be. My husband and I wanted to explore the some of the local sights (Rye, Dungeness, the various National Trust properties in the region - Scotney Castle is a must!) and the location of the cottage worked really well for our forays. The road to actually get to the vineyard is a long and narrow track so might be hard work if you have a car that sits very low to the ground, and we did struggle to find the correct track when we first arrived, and actually ended up at another vineyard along the same road! Don't follow the brown vineyard signs along the road! We received a friendly welcome from the owner and met the lovely (soppy) dogs when we arrived but didn't see anyone else for pretty much the entire time we were there, which was great! Overall, very good.Joanne Burling - 20th June 2018
We loved it there! Tthe place was so beautiful, well equipped and spotless/fresh. The location was convenient for supplies and near to Rye, a lovely town, and it has stunning with fabulous outlooks onto fields and we were able to see the best sunsets! The only other thing was there's a very long unmade road on the approach to the accommodation, which for low sports cars isn't ideal - but taken slowly and carefully, it was ok, and still wouldn't put us off returning. The owers was just wonderful too. We'd definitely like to go back.Ms Adrienne Aiken - 18th May 2018
A wonderful short break! Jo Benton - 16th April 2018
Lovely hosts, very obliging.Mrs Presheena Howell - 16th October 2017
The owners of the property were extremely helpful with regard to local knowledge. .Mr R Taylor - 11th July 2017
Neil and Wendy were fantastic hosts - kind and responsive but gave us all the space in the world. The cottage was perfect. Classic features, recently and tastefully renovated, clean, cosy, in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend this place. Thank you.Mr & Mrs Johnson - 29th December 2016
Superb views across open countryside. The remote location meant it was so quiet and peaceful and dark too - perfect for stargazing! The distant sound of the steam train chugging in the distance was a bonus. Owners were friendly and helpful.Mrs S Ison - 8th September 2016
It was very well equipped particularly the kitchen as we do ,like to cook on holiday. The view was stunning and the owners were friendly and not intrusive. Would certainly recommend it to friends and railway friends to watch the trains go puffing by all dayMrs J Howse - 17th July 2016
Lovely isolated location overlooking the Rother Levels. So peaceful. Made very welcome.Mr B Simmonds - 12th July 2016
