Description
Light and airy accommodation, Sugarloaf Barn sits surrounded by woodland and has its own pond. A real 'get it away from it all' location although close to the neighbouring Oast, farmhouse and cottage all with the Sugarloaf name. Look out for the local wildlife visiting the garden. Battle Abbey and 1066 country are on your doorstep plus The Royal Observatory at Herstmonceux is also not far away. The nearby village of Brightling is famous for its collection of fascinating follies, built by the eccentric Victorian squire, John 'Mad Jack' Fuller. They include the Needle, the Observatory, and the Sugarloaf - rumoured to be the result of a bet that Fuller lost! They are all on your doorstep - www.odd-stuff.info/follies/brightling.htm
