Description

The Farmhouse is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty and sits within a small farm surrounded by fields and woodlands. Heavily beamed throughout and preserving the innate character of this lovely old building, this property provides spacious and very comfortable accommodation for eight guests. Having the wonderful benefit of 2 separate sitting areas with glorious inglenook fireplaces, the Farmhouse is the perfect place to stay for family holidays or to share with friends. The ground floor is well proportioned with a large family sized kitchen, a dining hall and 2 sitting rooms.  There is also a study and 2 shower rooms.  On the first floor there are three double bedrooms and a single room with another single room in the attic eves. With 5 bedrooms, one ensuite w.c., a family bathroom, a downstairs shower room and separate wet room, it offers a great place for family celebrations with lots of room for all generations, both inside and out. There is also the option of booking an adjoining barn sleeping 6 and a studio apartment sleeping 2 for larger get togethers; The Old Barn SX935 and The Apartment SX936

Out and About.
The surrounding countryside and woodlands are perfect for nature lovers and provide wonderful walks and there is a small stream running behind the property. The pretty medieval town of Mayfield is close by with some lovely high street shops and a great pub.A short drive is the ancient ruins at Battle Abbey and the 1066 battlefields, slightly further afield is Sheffield Park Gardens and Bodiam Castle. For younger ones visit Drusillas Park at Alfriston, the Bluebell Railway and Go Ape and fantastic off road biking at Bedgebury Pinetum. For more extensive shopping and dining experiences a visit to Royal Tunbridge Wells is a must as it offers great restaurants and a range of independent shops.
