The Robin's Nest is a thoroughly charming Grade II listed cottage conveniently located in the village of Sedlescombe which is only a short distance from the fascinating town of Hastings.  This lovely property has pretty cottage gardens to both the front and the rear, perfect for outside dining.  Although the property was built in about 1450 and retains many traditional timbers it is bright and well furnished making it an excellent choice as a base to explore the beautiful surrounding Sussex countryside and coastline.  You can walk to the village gastro pub, which welcomes dogs, shop in the general stores and then go further afield and enjoy the walking and sights from Fairlight Country Park or stroll along the seven miles of golden sands at Camber.  Hastings Old Town is vibrant and full of retro stocked shops and the ancient town of Rye isn't too far away either.  There are two vineyards locally which are worth a visit and a golf course. Historic Battle is also a great place to visit with its ruined Abbey and battlefields.

Really convenient location. Sedlescome is a beautiful village, nestled in the High Weald. Walks to take your breath away just behind the cottage. Cottage is really welcoming. The garden is really lovely. There is a bit of traffic noise. But I got used to it. My dog didn't want to leave. Nor did I!

Mrs B,

The cottage was very sweet and cosy and well maintained however, the volume of traffic hurtling through at 6am is very annoying. The local pub was friendly to both humans and dogs and the food was very good. The village green is very pretty with resident geese and their goslings which were so sweet.

Mr P,

Delightful quaint cottage perfect for the 2 of us and our dog. Great location for exploring the nearby coast. Well equipped with quality products and a lovely welcome pack Spotlessly clean and a pretty secure garden. Our 2nd visit and we look forward to returning again soon.

Diane W,

Lovely little cottage in a beautiful village location, handy for many attractions/walks etc. The cottage was immaculate, and had everything you could think of to enjoy your holiday. Easy parking to the rear. Ceiling height was low in the kitchen & living room, which we were informed of, but even my husband who is 6ft4ins didn’t mind this over a 3 night stay! The goody bag with cakes/jams etc & milk waiting in the fridge was a thoughtful touch by Kim &Dave & very much appreciated after a long journey on arrival. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone holidaying in East Sussex. From D & H, Cumbria.

Mr C,

We enjoyed a lovely relaxing long weekend. The Robin's Nest is extremely comfortable, cosy and everything you need. We enjoyed some lovely long walks and we would recommend food at The Queens Head where they are very welcoming to dogs too! Thank you for the treats and Sid (our dog) says thanks too!
