Reviews

It’s a very comfortable, well-cared-for property with so much attention to detail that we really appreciated. We couldn’t have asked for more & loved it all!

Ms Carole N,

We've had a fabulous week here in Winchelsea and thoroughly appreciate how homely and comfortable " Forget me not" is. Thanks for all the frills, including the delicious lemon drizzle cake.

Ms N,

Excellent place to stay, enjoyed seeing Derek Jareman's Cottage and Gardens at Dungerness and Open art studios there. Visited Great Dixter house and gardens, Bodiam Castle. Walked to Rye Harbour and back via Camber castle.

Previous Customer,

We had to have a change of holiday this time due to the imminent arrival of our first baby. We were lucky enough to chance on Forget Me Not. It was a great find, a beautifully equipped bungalow with excellent local walks that we had no idea about before we go here. we had a lovely week and even stayed an extra night. Lovely, relaxing and comfortable stay. We noticed and felt the love and care that had gone into the cottage, including the welcome food, the amazingly equipped kitchen. Location great for beaches, nature reserve walks and Rye is worth a visit. Mariners fish and chip bar is also a must.

Previous Customer,

Thank you so much for a lovely peaceful place to stay. Appreciated all the extras and thoughtful touches.

family from N,

Absolutely lovely holiday cottage. we have all had a great weeks holiday- very restful and peaceful. Thanks for the cake and the well equipped and comfortable cottage.

C & W,

Our first visit to this part of the South coast and despite some rather unseasonable weather (the ducks were loving it) we managed to stay dry and enjoy the area. Winchelsea was really interesting, we didn't manage the cellars. We enjoyed visiting Sissinghurst and Great Deixter even if they were looking a bit wind swept. A lovely holiday home.

Previous Customer,

Enjoyed our stay very much. Bungalow very clean & comfortable & so lovely with everything being colour co-ordinated! Thank you for the provisions especially the unexpected treat & the home made cake! Visited plenty of places such as Herstmonceux observatory, Leeds Castle, Bodiam Castle, Dungeness & evening walks on the beach. Thanks again.

Previous Customer,

We really enjoyed being able to walk down to the beach every evening and the weather has been perfect. Forget me not has been a good base. Rye is worth a visit as is Battle Abbey and Dungeness Lighthouse. Marino's fish and chips in Rye is very good.

Previous Customer,

Great accommodation situated in a perfect location enabling us to visit many interesting places. Blue skies, perfect weather all week. Thank you for the treats! A thoroughly happy relaxing holiday.

Mrs E,

A very comfortable cottage in a lovely location. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here and will probably return next year. Super walks, never bothered to use the car. Many thanks, especially for the "lemon drizzle cake".

Sheila & D,

Cottage as beautiful as ever- wonderful welcome from the owners and a very tasty home made cake. Although the weather was wet and windy we still got to explore. We will be back thank you.

Betty and R,

Forget me not is by far the best holiday home we've stayed in. The hosts have put in so much time and thought into equipping and dressing the house. Camber Castle proved a gentle 90 minute amble there and back. The peace and relaxation is such a tonic. We only wish we were here longer.

Previous Customer,

We had a lovely relaxing stay at Forget me Not. A lovely place with everything you could possibly need. Thank you for the lovely welcome and the fantastic lemon drizzle cake which we enjoyed very much. Thanks again.

Has a lovely stay at Forget Me Not, Everything we could have wanted and more. Hope to be back again.

Mr R,

We spent our autumn holidays here to discover the South East of England. It was our first time in England and at the seaside and the beach. Our children loved the beach and the ocean. We felt like being home from home for this week in this comfortable accommodation. thank you for having us all the best to you.

Warner Family,

We have had a wonderful stay at Forget Me Not. The bungalow is perfect - you have provided everything that we could possibly need. It was a joy to find it so spotlessly clean. We have enjoyed several local walks and been to may of the local pubs and restaurants, which are generally to be recommended. Just wanted to say thank you for the Welcome Package! The cake was delicious & the milk & mint chocolates very much appreciated. We had a lovely time! Our week here has passed by far too quickly!

Previous Customer,

Dear Carol and Graham, We loved Forget Me Not, and after a long drive your cake was most welcome along with the wine! The house was beautifully finished and had everything we needed. It was a perfect base to explore the area and the beaches nearby. Note to anyone else: visit Dungeness Old Lighthouse for incredible views!

The A,

Thank you very much for the great time we've had during the last two weeks. The cottage is just wonderful, equipped with everything one needs all fitting together in a very pretty style. We enjoyed the welcome package especially the home-made cake, was delicious. We lovely to go to the beach and do little hikes in the nature park. We did a lot more excursions than planned to visit the historical sites around and got really interested in English history.

What a beautiful cottage "Forget-me-not" is. Just perfect. Gorgeous lemon drizzle cake, we ate it all, and the bottle of wine. Such a nice surprise. Everything was pristine and everything one needed.
